Theresia M. Duncan

February 5, 1932 ~ November 26, 2016 (age 84) 84 Years Old
Theresia (Tess) Marie Duncan, age 84, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Portneuf Medical Center, in Pocatello, Idaho.
Tess was born February 5, 1932, in Bushton, Kansas to Alfred and Rosalia Sturn.
In 1952 she married John Hartwell Duncan in Bushton. They moved to the Northwest and settled in Pocatello in 1955, where John was employed by Intermountain Gas Company. They had three children, Julie, Jennifer and Charles.
Tess was an avid gardener and grew the most beautiful roses and knew the names of each. She was also a voracious reader, and willingly loaned her books to friends and family, but you’d better remember to return them. Her apple pie and chocolate chip cookies were amazing and many great dinners were had at her house, as she loved to cook. She was also an experienced seamstress and sewed clothes for herself, her children and granddaughters.
As an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church, her floral arrangements will be missed.
Tess is survived by her daughter, Julie (John) Robinson, granddaughter Amanda (Drew) Miller and great granddaughter Madelyn, and grandson Sam Robinson, all of Boise. A daughter, Jennifer Duncan of Monterey, California, and a son, Charles (Margo) Duncan of Idaho Falls, grandson Braxton Duncan and granddaughter Brennen (Mitchell) Magagna of Boise. She was preceded in death by her husband, John.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 248 North Arthur, with Rev. Dr. Donald Paulson officiating. Family will receive friends directly after the service at the Trinity parish hall. Burial will be in the Mountain View Cemetery with family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Tess Duncan can be made to the Pocatello Food Bank 555 S. 1st Ave, Pocatello, Idaho or the Wounded Warrior Project P O Box 758517 Topeka, KS 66675.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 North 15th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.cornelisonfh.com
