Maurice P. Girard

Maurice " Butch" Paul Girard, 56, passed away on January 28th 2016, surrounded by his son Adam and his daughter Amy. Butch was born January 6th 1960 in Pocatello Idaho. He was adopted by his parents Maurice and Leora Girard. He graduated pocatello high school and continued his education with Idaho State University and Mercury Mariner Boat School, which he earned many certifications that he was very proud of. He worked at Pocatello Airport and Intermountain Marine in his earlier years. He married Michele Drake shortly and were blessed with 2 children, Amy and Adam. He was the owner and operator of 1st street boat and snowmobile repair he ran that business out of the Family shop building for many years. He also married Karen Wuthrich which blessed him with a step daughter Kaelyn and his dog Wolf, whom he loved very much. He always had Wolf riding in the back of his truck with him, whether it was in his white chevy or his Baby Blue Chevy Truck. Wolf was always by his side. His other dogs were King and Snowflake whom he cherished very much. Butch had many loves in his life, Jesus Christ, his children, his dogs, his baby blue chevy truck, the Family shop building, the Family Cabin and Lots of Snow, and his new love of his life Theresa, whom he then married. Butch enjoyed being up in the mountains, the color Blue, carnation flowers and red and white roses with baby's breath and snowmobiling every moment he could. As Butch would always say.... " Pray for Snow!" He is survived by his daughter Amy Girard Rudolph; his son Adam Girard; his dogs snowflake and king; grandchildren Kamyrah, Jakoby, Makalya, Eli, JJ, Lilly; son in law Weston Rudolph; daughter in law Chantil Ayala; and Wife Theresa Girard He was preceded in death by his parents Maurice and Leora Girard; Grandparents Armand Yvonne Girard; and his dog Wolf. Memorial services will be held Wednesday February 3rd at 7pm at First Baptist Church. 408 N. Arthur, Pocatello.
