Dear family - I am saddened to hear of Aunt Verna's passing. I know it is far better for her, but I will miss her. She was a wonderful wife, mother, aunt and lady! I will never forget my wonderful times at the farm with all of you. I remember her wonderful home and the meals she prepared. My memories of her include her smile and laugh, and I will never forget when she told us about her life and took us around to all the sights of Gramma and Grampa Kissner. I loved that she came with you to my folks' 50th Anniversary party in 1996. She was always so sharp with her memories. I will miss her Christmas cards. You all took such wonderful care of her and I thank you. You are all in my prayers.

Kris & Jay, What a long and productive life your mom has had for all of these 101 years. Whenever we see you, Jay tells us what a sweetheart your mom is, Kris, and how nice that you shared your home with her for so many years. You will be blessed, and surely she must have been thrilled to see all those family members who passed on before. Surely she is happy, and, as we know, will always have that same sweet spirit she possessed here on earth. May you find peace and joy in knowing God's plan of happiness. Our sincere sympathy with the loss of you mom. The Stonebergs

My condolences to you for the loss of your dear loved one, Ms. Kissner. The death of a loved one can be most devastating, even though you may feel they lived a long and fulfilling life. But it was God's original purpose for people to live forever. And in harmony with that purpose, he has given us the hope of a resurrection for our dead loved ones and the opportunity for them to live forever on this earth in perfect health without ever having to die again. These are promises made at John 5:21, 28 and Revelation 21:4 and we all look forward to the fulfillment of these promises. Once again, I express my deepest sympathy.

Verna was an inspiration to our whole family. Even in her later years, she never failed to remember each one of our birthdays with a greeting card - and a $5 bill, to boot. :) We will miss her.
