Dear Beverly and family,
We came a little late to the funeral on Tuesday so we didn't get the chance to see you and give you a hug. We have such fond memories of Bishop Allen. It was like having John Wayne for our Bishop. We knew we were in good hands. He could get us over the rough times, and he did. I remember when the Primary through him a birthday party. The children sang a song to the music from "Candy Man". The chorus was: Bishop Allen makes
Ward dinners great,
Satisfying an delicious.
Granting all the Mother's wishes,
He provides the paper dishes!!
He was quite a guy, and he loved you and all of us, and we knew it. Lucky us.
God bless you all,
Rich and Dawn Keller

Sister Allen, Steve, Terry, Sharon, Dave and Carol, I love you Dad. He was one of my very favorite people, as I grew up in Pocatello. My first Home Teaching Companion after my Dear Dad; always armed with a box of chocolates and a great story; always willing to show a youngster how to improve his rise and drop ball; always genuinely interested in my life - I suspect he and Dad have a lot to talk about now. They are both more comfortable and agile with their blessed surroundings. I did not find out about Moose's passing until yesterday; otherwise, I would have come to support each of you. I love the Allen Family. You represent such a cherished portion of my life. Julie and I were in Pocatello three weeks ago and stopped by the Fairway Drive homestead to see Neil and Bev, but no-one was there. I'm so sorry I missed the opportunity to renew my respect for and friendship with Brother Allen. Please accept my most sincere condolences and love for each of you. And if ever you find yourselves near or in Las Vegas, please contact Julie and I - we would love to see and hear from you.
