Ronald H. Hancock

Ronald H. Hancock, 77, Chubbuck, passed away peacefully in the evening of Friday the 13th 2015, at Portneuf Medical Center, following a brief illness. Ronald was born in Lewisville, Idaho on March 4th, 1938 to his parents Heber Levison Hancock, and Melba Lola (Walker) Hancock. He was the second youngest of five children. Leo Lorin Hancock, Mark J. Hancock, Lola Mae (Hancock) Jenkins, and Leland Scott Hancock. Ronald attended Pocatello High School, in Pocatello Idaho, were he met the love of his life, Carol Jean Didericksen. They later married on September 29th 1956, and a year later began a family with the birth of their first child, Shonna Kay (Hancock) D’Annunzio, followed by the birth of 2 sons, Ronald Kim Hancock, and Robert Todd Hancock. Ronald served in the United States Army stationed in Anchorage, Alaska for a time. He then decided to stay closer to his family, and pursued a lifelong career in professional truck driving, where he later took a medical retirement after decades of service. Ronald loved the great outdoors, and any chance he could get, he would be found camping, hunting, and fishing with friends and family. He loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Ronald is survived by his sister Lola Mae (Hancock) Jenkins and family, and his brother Leland Scott Hancock. He is also survived by his daughter Shonna Kay (John) D’Annunzio, his son Ronald Kim (Becky) Hancock, and son Robert Todd (Melanie) Hancock, 7 grandchildren, and 12 greatgrandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his parents Heber Levison, and Melba Lola Hancock, as well as his brothers, Mark J. Hancock, and Leo Lorin Hancock, his beloved wife Carol Jean Hancock, and his grandson Mark Ryan Hancock. A small viewing service will be held for family and friends at Cornelison Funeral Home, located at 431 N. 15th Ave Pocatello, 232-0542, between 6-8pm, this Thursday November the 19th. The funeral services will be held the following day Friday November the 20th at The Paradise Acres Ward LDS Church, located at 147 Bringhurst Street in Chubbuck, Idaho at 11am. Family will be received 1 hour prior to funeral services.
