Wanda Tademy Obituary

Wanda Marie Johnson-Tademy was born on September 5, 1956, at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California to Robert and Emma Jean Johnson. She was the youngest of two children. She attended and graduated high school in Orville, California. Wanda went on to serve in the National Guard.
Wanda met Charles Tademy in Orville, California. They married December 15, 1985, in Pocatello, Idaho. Wanda and Charles moved to Salt Lake City in 1986. Wanda enjoyed helping others. She began working at St. Mark’s hospital as an aide, and she was later certified to become a phlebotomist. She worked in the neonatal department and loved working with the babies. She was very skilled in her work and the doctors often wanted her to be the one to start the IVs for the babies.
Wanda lived in Salt Lake City until she joined Charles in Pocatello in 2019 after being diagnosed with cancer. Wanda fought cancer for three years until she passed on January 14, 2022, with Charles Franklin Tademy at her side.
Wanda was baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Raymond Park ward on September 28, 2021, under the direction of Bishop Calvin Murdock. Wanda had a strong faith in her “Miracle Worker, Jesus Christ.” Charles and Wanda were very grateful for the support from the Raymond Park Ward and their members.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Emma Jean Johnson; her sister-in-law, June Ann Tademy; and her sister Nettie Lee Johnson.
Wanda is survived by her sweet husband, Charles Franklin Tademy. She is also survived by Charles’ loving brothers and sisters, and many friends. A special thank you to Heritage Hospice, specifically Lynell, Evelyn, Cassie, Emma, Lexi, Marian, Gabe and Dr. Warnock. Also thank you to the Portneuf Cancer Center with Dr. Michael Francisco and the crew that cared for her.
Charles would like to especially thank our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the time he had with Wanda. Her Heavenly Father has now called her home. No services will be held at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N 15th Ave, Pocatello. Condolences may be sent to the family on our website www.cornelisonfh.com 208-232-0542
