Steven Don Simmons

Steven D. Simmons, 74, of Pocatello, Idaho, peacefully passed away on February 23, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones.

"Steve" was born April 27, 1948, to Grover and Genevieve Simmons in Rigby, Idaho.
After Steve graduated from Rigby High School in 1966 he pursued a degree from Idaho State University.

He Began his career at the Pocatello Fire Department in 1974. In 1977, he was promoted to paramedic and to Captain in 1986.

After being promoted to Division Chief in 1990, he managed public safety, operation, and emergency medical divisions.

In 1979 he met his wife of 43 years, LuAnne Lindsay. Together they shared three children, Nikole, Boe and Mike.

After 25 years with the Pocatello Fire department the 51-year young division chief Steve Simmons Retired.

Steve is survived by his Lovely wife, LuAnne, His daughter Nikole (Chris) Mazarati, his sons Boe (Jodie) Simmons and Mike (Hailey) Simmons. And his grandchildren Jordan Taylor Mazarati, Morgan Dawn Simmons, Kaden Michael Simmons, Drew Elizabeth Simmons, and Alex Andrew Simmons.

He will be Missed.

A celebration of Life will be planned for May 2023.
