Shirley Jane "Fitzpatrick" Samora was born July 7, 1943 to Odaus A. Fitzpatrick and Myrtle Ann "Crawford" Fitzpatrick in Clarksridge, Arkansas. She was the youngest of 11 children.
Shirley passed peacefully in her home on October 27, 2023 at the age of 80. She was surrounded by her family.
She moved to the Treasure Valley area as a young girl when she later moved to Pocatello, Idaho where she met and married her soul mate Ronald Y. Samora Sr. on July 7th, 1962 in Pocatello, Idaho.
Shirley and Ronald had four sons: Steven, Ronald Jr. "Buck", Eddie "Ed", and Thomas.
Shirley taught a class at Pocatello High School on how to make Mexican food. Also, she loved to cook for her family and friends. She then later worked as a CSM at Walmart for 10 years.
Shirley was very supportive at all her boys' sports events as they grew up. She also loved spending time outdoors whether it was fishing, camping. And when she wasn't spending time with family she enjoyed going to the casino.
Shirley was preceded in death by both her parents: Odaus and Myrtle Fitzpatrick. Her 10 siblings: Lelan, Nova "Novie", Joe, James "Jim", Kelse, Ernest "Ernie", Euna, Anna, Harold "Deno", and Everett. Also, by her son Steven L. Samora and daughter-in-law Susan K. "Fenn" Samora. Shirley is survived by: her loving husband Ronald Sr., her sons, Ronald Jr (Tasha), Ed (Cassandra), and Thomas (Ashley), 16 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
