Our beloved mother and grandmother, Ramona Lee Williams Cornelison, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2021. She was born June 9, 1947 to Allison Leeder Williams and Alice Gabrielson Williams, in Pocatello, Idaho.
Ramona was a very compassionate and caring person who always went out of her way to help others in need. Although she never had much, she was willing to give what she had and even share her home with anyone who needed a place to live. Ramona loved to play card games, board games, and puzzles. She was also a talented crafter who created and gifted many special projects to friends and family. She bowled in leagues for years and had a love for music and dancing. In her younger years, she would square and round dance. She served as the chorister in church for many years. Ramona had a passion for the outdoors and would jump at any opportunity to go to the family cabin or camping.
Ramona was married and sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple to Boyd Cornelison. While married, she was a loving wife and cherished the family they created. As a mother and grandmother she taught her children to treat all others with compassion and love and she instilled a sense of respect and appreciation for those from different cultures or beliefs. Ramona offered a safe place to all who sought comfort and never passed judgement. She always supported her children’s interests, serving as a camp director when her daughters were involved in camp, attending sporting events and extracurricular events. She loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. Her favorite thing to do was laughing at her children, spending her time with her kids and grandkids, and visiting her siblings.
Ramona left behind 2 sisters, Melinda (Kenneth) Slack, Alice Fae (Rod) Cornell, a brother, Dean (Susan) Williams, and brother in laws, Ray Avery and Neil Reiter. She has three children that will miss her dearly including Jered (Wendy) Cornelison, Kimberly (Ted) Swanson, Heather (Ryan) Carr. She was blessed with a bonus daughter Shalane (Chad) Shirey, and son Troy (Shelley) Briggs. She was the best grandma to Casen (Megan) Briggs, Tayte (Tony) Forrey, Kinely Briggs, Riley Cornelison, Mackenzie Cornelison, Brynn Cornelison, Bear Swanson, Gage Swanson, Darby Swanson, Emily Shirey, Caleb Carr, Kalie Carr and 11 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Rosalie Rieter, Jenny Avery, Johnny Williams, Lamar Williams, a granddaughter, Britney Wray Cornelison, and a grandson, Bryce Carr.
