Nancy Julie Pfister was born in Evanston, Illinois, on December 8, 1954. Due to cancer (either ovarian or uterine), she passed away on May 23, 2023 at her home in Pocatello.
She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Northwestern University. She later earned her Master's Degree in Journalism from the University of Arkansas.
Nancy spent 25 years as a newspaper reporter in Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, and Florida. She came down with Multiple Sclerosis in 1999 and soon after had to retire on disability. Her brother Tom moved her to Pocatello in 2012.
Nancy had many interests and loved to read. Among her favorite subjects were Big Foot, UFOs, Abraham Lincoln, Marilyn Monroe, JFK, trees, scrapbooking, pop-up cards, and cooking. She loved to make decorative envelopes and bead earrings. Always a cheerful and outgoing person, she made lifelong friends wherever she lived.
She is survived by her younger brother Tom. She was preceded in death by her father (1998), older brother Gary (2009), and mother (2013).

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, May 30th at 11 AM in the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello. Family will receive friends 30 minutes prior. Interment will be held privately at the Mountain View Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.cornelisonfh.com
