Mary Jean Garrett 42 died surrounded by her family on Aug 25, 2021 at 8:22 am in Pocatello, Idaho. She was born Dec 21st, 1978 in Lawton, Oklahoma as Mary Jean Jackson.
Mary met her husband of 26 years David M. Garrett ll at the age of 14. They were married Feb 6th 1995 married half their lives they were each others Best Friends. Real True Love. He is of Pocatello Idaho and He survives.
Also surviving is her mother Carolyn Matthews and her husband Lesley Turner of Jerome. Idaho. Her son Trenton Garrett and his fiancee Mary Coberly of Pocatello, Idaho Her daughter Marissa Messmer and her husband Ben Messmer of Boise, Idaho. Her daughter Skyla Garrett of Pocatello, Idaho. Her Daughter Aspen Garrett and her fiancee Eric Morales of Pocatello, Idaho. And Mary's 6 Grandchildren Julyan, Ryan, Stassi, Riley, Lincoln, and Kenz'o.
Also Surviving is her sister Jessica Stirber Teixeira of Pocatello, Idaho. Her Niece Mary Adlyne " Addie" and Her Nephew Asher Ray.
Her Mother- in-law Teri Hendricks and her Husband Ken Hendricks. Hazelton, Idaho and Her Father- in- law Mike Garrett if Hansen, Idaho. And numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cosuins.
Her Father Ronnie Jackson, Her daughter Teri Marie Garrett , Her 2 nephews Boston Stirber and Bryson Stirber, Her Grandparents Woodrow and Wilma Garrison, Her Grandma Jackson and Grandma Peggy Bordwell all preceded her in death
Mary grew up in Oklahoma before moving to Idaho and after meeting her husband they were long time residents of Jackpot, Nevada were they worked inside the casinos. Mary's worked as a Blackjack dealer and Pit Boss while raising thier children. Before having to stop due to her long time battle of over 5 years with her health she remained as a stay at home Mom and Nana which was the most important " Job" of her life.
Mary will always be remembered because of her big heart, mischievous smile and contagious laughter. Her family will never forget her singing echoing through the house as she danced while cooking. Her telling funny stories but most of all they will just miss her hugs and kisses.
A celebration of life will be at Rock Creek Park in Twin Falls Idaho Weds. Sept 1 2021 at 5 pm
