MaNell Piccolo 1933-2022
Born Ailena MaNell Mathie August 26, 1933, she returned to the heavens, April 26, 2022. MaNell was a dedicated wife, mother, grandma, sister, and friend. Always ready for a good time, she loved life, flower gardening, oil painting, decorating, and spending time with family and friends.
She was raised in Huntington, Utah and was a proud graduate of Emery High School, class of 1951. Later that summer she married her husband of 71 years, John Piccolo. They had two children, Lori and John Jr and settled in Las Vegas NV. In 1978 they moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho, where MaNell made many friends through the Idaho Falls Ski Club, golf at the IFCC and volunteering for the Idaho Falls Art Guild.
MaNell had a flare for fashion and loved getting dressed up for whatever the occasion called for. She was quick with a smile, loved a sing along, champagne and to dance a jig. She volunteered for CASA and always had a special way with children.
We will dearly miss her laugh and the enthusiasm she brought to every circumstance. To the wonderful staff of Caring Hearts, thank you for all the unconditional loving care you gave her. MaNell is survived by her husband, John Piccolo, sister, Lauretta Page, brother, Gordon Mathie, son, John Piccolo Jr, and daughter Lori Piccolo-Stinson, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
No public services will be held at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.cornelisonfh.com
