Larry Joseph Holt, of Pocatello, ID. Found his eternal peace on January 29, 2021 at the age of 76. Larry was born in Fontana, CA to Joe and Genevieve Edwards Holt.
Larry spent his younger years in California, Texas, New Mexico and Washington. At the age of 17 Larry joined the U.S. Army and proudly served 6 years stationed in Bamberg Germany. During that time Larry married Christa Schmidt and they were blessed with 2 children Silvia and Robbie. One of Larry’s favorite stories was that of having delivered Silvia himself at home.
Later after returning to the states, Larry married Nancy Wayne Lester, and together they raised Silvia and Robbie, Michael, Stephanie, Robert and Kimberly. Larry worked for the Dept of Defense at the U.S. Marine Corps. base in 29 Palms CA for 30 years until his retirement in 2000.
Larry’s love of Harley Davidson motorcycles and riding led him to meet his beloved wife Kimberley, and they were married in June 2003. We lost track of how many trips Larry made to Sturgis, but that man rode the wind until his health no longer allowed it.
Larry had the biggest most generous heart and was loved by many. His pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. Larry’s strength and gentle loving will be greatly missed.
