Larry Crist Obituary

Larry L. Crist was born in Escondido California on April 20, 1941 to Loren and Violet Crist. Died on April 2, 2020 at Caring Hearts Assisted Living. His family is so grateful and appreciative of their kindness and support while Larry was there.
He is survived by wife Rachel of 59 years, his brother, Jerry, many nieces and nephews as well as numerous spiritual children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Becky, both parents, and brother-in-law Michael.
Larry was first of all, a loving husband and father and provider. He loved people, especially his brothers and sisters in the faith. He was a friend, spiritual adviser, confidant, and mentor of many. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses he enjoyed having discussions with folks in the community about his faith, and the wonderful promises found in the Bible.
When he arrived in Pocatello from Oklahoma, he started his own janitorial business know as 'Perfection Janitorial Service’. He had several accounts in the area including the Sandpiper Restaurant that he serviced for over 40 years.
For recreation he loved being at his favorite 8-mile camp, near Soda Springs. He and Rachel would enjoy hunting, fishing and most of all, camping. He relished being able to sit around a roaring campfire with his friends and family. It has been said that he would rather split firewood then do most anything else. He and his friend Gerald Sutphin would often argue in fun of course, about who was in charge of the fire. Many fun times and stories were told around that fire.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.cornelisonfh.com
