Kevin Bruce Carman, 66 of Pingree, Idaho, passed away peacefully September 22, 2022, at home from complications of Leukemia. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Kevin was Born February 22, 1956, in Pasco Washington to Wilma Boland and Daniel Jameson. At the age of 1 his mother remarried Earnest Carman, the man who raised him.
Kevin attended grade school in Antioch, California. He graduated from Alhambra High school in Martinez, California in 1974. He was active in various sports and was a great student. After Graduation he went to work to support his family.
Starting in 1980 he moved to Bend, Oregon where he went on to work for Bend Millworks after that he took an interest in landscaping and took great pride in his work.
In 1991 Kevin moved to Pocatello, Idaho where he went to work for Union Pacific Railroad where he performed mechanic duties as an apprentice and graduated to Journeymen mechanic, worked on the rail gangs and transferred to the wheel shop. He met his love of his life, Jennifer Smith while playing softball with her brother in 1992. They started dating in the summer of 1993, and then he proposed New Year’s Eve that same year. They were married June 18, 1994.
Kevin went on to college at Idaho State University where he obtained dual degrees in Diesel Mechanics and Diesel Electric. Upon completion of his schooling, he went on to start his career as a Diesel Mechanic for Meadow Gold Dairy, Pro Rental and Johnson Excavation. He then went to work for Halliburton Energy Services. During that time, they bought a home in Pingree to finish raising their family. He retired in 2020 while working for Wada Farms In. as a Truck Driver.
Kevin was a natural athlete where he excelled in any sport that he ever attempted. He was an avid San Francisco 49’ers and Utah Jazz fan. He loved anything that involved time spent with his family including camping, hunting, bike riding, roller skating, and keeping physically fit. He loved all animals, music, and his life in Pingree for all the animals that they were entrusted with and for the beautiful landscapes. He loved all the holidays! He loved food and would make meat & cheese platters and veggie trays and dips anytime that friends or family would visit. You could always find him listening to music or watching sports on TV. He enjoyed taking care of his yard and plants. He loved to laugh and have fun. He was the life of every party.
He is survived by his wife Jennifer; a son Casey Carman, and 3 daughters Shaila (Trevor) Beasley, Sahara (Dakota) Gilbert and Savana (Bo) Webb. His Grandchildren Caleb, Alyssa and Kyzer Beasley and Parker and expecting baby Bailey Gilbert. Siblings, Kelly Reece, Judy Bennett, Deany Lucido and Wynn Carman. Sid and Loraine Smith, In-Laws, Kenneth Smith, Brother-in-law, and nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother Randy Jameson.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday October 1, 2022 at 11:00 am at the LDS Church, 1533 ID 39, Pingree, ID 83262. Family and friends will gather prior to the service at 10:30. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Shelly Idaho. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to help cover medical expenses. The family would like to Thank Dr. Kovacsovics and his staff at Huntsman Cancer Institute, Dr. Adams and his staff at Teton Cancer Institute and Encompass Home Health and Hospice for all that they have done for our husband and dad during this last year and a half.
