John Stephenson Obituary

John Douglas Stephenson, 68, Pocatello, passed away, January 12, 2024.
He was born on April 10, 1955, in Pocatello, Idaho to Jack and Mary Stephenson. He is one of three children, Chris Stephenson and Karen (John) Wicks.
They had an exciting childhood living in many different places but John always returned to Pocatello. He graduated from Highland High School and joined job core following graduation. There, he learned skills that would prepare him for his career as a self-employed contractor.
He married the love of his life, Renee Stephenson (Sierra) on November 4, 1984 and became a father to Lorca (Kenny Cutler)and Sarah (KennyTourangeau), their lives were changed forever. John enjoyed being outdoors and loved everything from fishing to snowmobiling, but his biggest passion was playing softball in the Pocatello beer league with the Guzzlers where he made long-lasting friendships.
The thing he enjoyed the most was hanging out with his sons-in-law (the Kenny's), and being a brother, brother-in-law, grandpa (Jade, Jordan, Kahner, Danica, Michah, and Tucker), great grandpa (Feleina, Mathilde, and Persephone) uncle, uncle grandpa, and good friend. John was always willing to help out his family and friends and will be greatly missed by everyone.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
