John William Guyer, 90 a retired chef of the Quality Inn, passed away in his home on Tuesday May 9th, 2023 at 4:08 pm from natural causes.
He was born on August 1st, 1932. He attended Poky High school & went on to join the Navy where he was a mine sweeper in the Korean War.
When John returned in 1954 he worked as a chef. Some notable places he enjoyed working were the Bannock Hotel the Hotel Davenport in Spokane Washington, Holiday inn and the Hilton followed by the Quality Inn where he retired & laid his chef's hat to rest.
John loved four-wheeling and racing his Jeeps. He often brought home the trophy. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. John even drove a semi for a while but decided a chef is where he really wanted to stay committed.
John had two brothers, Michael Guyer, Edward Guyer three sisters Ada May, Wanda & Deborah. He had four step children Virginia, Dennis, Paula & Monty.
At John's wish he will only be having a burial next to his beloved wife Norma at the Norton cemetery in McCammon, Idaho.
John will be dearly missed & wants to thank Enhabit Home Health & Hospice.
