Aunt Gloria was always hospitable when my sister Peggy and I were hanging out with Papa and Mimi each summer.  They lived next door across a vacant lot.  It was fun, and still is, to relate stories about Aunt Gloria's strong coffee.  As the family story (or fable?) goes Aunt Gloria would always put the coffee on for visitors. During one such visit Uncle Don had gone to the shop and cut half the bowl off one of Aunt Gloria's good spoons with the torch, so it looked melted.  Then, after the guest had stirred in their cream & sugar, Uncle Don replaced the good spoon with the one that looked like the coffee had "eaten" the end off of it.  The story goes that fun was had by all.  Our love & prayers for peace and fond memories go out to Corky and her family, Rick and his family, and Sharon's family.
