Dorothy Lorraine McIntosh Lohse

Dorothy Lorraine McIntosh Lohse was born August 1, 1930 in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Leo Ora and Eileen Kurtz McIntosh. In 1937, she, her sister, and her parents became part of the Dust Bowl migration to California where they settled in Orland.

She married Ernest ("Ernie") Lohse on December 26, 1948; they welcomed son Skip (Ernest Jr) in 1953. After 60 years of hard work, Dorothy and Ernie moved to Pocatello in 2002 to be near their grandchildren. They attended every soccer, track, volleyball, and judo event!

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, sister Gerrie, husband Ernie, and son Skip.

She is survived by daughter-in-law Dotty Sammons Lohse, and three grandchildren Sam, Keith, and Gretchen Lohse, who all love her and miss her very much.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Heritage Hospice and Home Health, especially Dorothy's nurse for several years, Rachelle Losser, and CNA Jeana Duran. Words cannot express the love we have for these beautiful ladies and the care they and others bestowed. There are no services planned at this time.
