Dianna Marie Johnson, 73, passed peacefully from this life to the next Tuesday April 25, 2023, while surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born March 28, 1950, in Pocatello ID to Alvin and Lorretta Johnson. She was the oldest of three children. Dianna enjoyed taking care of her younger brother (Ralph) and sister (Carolynn). She attended Lincoln Elementary the early years of her life. Later, when her brother and sister were married and having kids of their own she would watch over her nieces and nephews like a mother hen.
Dianna did not like messy unorganized areas. Often when the kids were playing, she would go behind them putting their toys away regardless if they where still playing with them or not. It upset Dianna when the kids were misbehaving, and their parents would scold them. She always said, "oh there just tired and cranky".
After her parents' deaths Dianna moved to Independence Home Assisted Living where she acquired her extended family and friends. She was able to learn new skills that helped her become more confident and independent with her daily tasks. She also got a job that required her to ride a bus alone to Henry's Hair salon where she worked several hours a week helping clean.
Dianna enjoyed the many outings the group would go on. She very much enjoyed the revive at 5 they would have weekly during the summer months. She had some pretty good moves on the dance floor and was always seen with a huge smile on her face.
Dianna was a very loving and giving person. She never wanted to be the center of attention and always gave and did things to please and bring joy to others. Dianna was a very hard worker and was always busy. She loved helping at Independence home. She helped a lot in the kitchen, but the staff and residence often experienced the same fate her nieces and nephews had endured when she would put items away before they were done using them. Dianna would often bring the staff and other residents their morning cup of coffee. Greeting them with her favorite saying "oh what a day".
When the staff would bring their babies and toddlers to the home Dianna was right there to hold and cuddle them all the while grinning from ear to ear. She was getting to follow little ones around again.
She was very much loved and liked by all she met and will be greatly missed by us all.
Dianna is survived by her brother Ralph (Peggy) Johnson, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was Proceeded in death by her parents, sister Carolynn and brother-in law (Ron Haynes).
The family would like to thank Independence Home, and Newday for the love, care and support they have provided Dianna and us through the many years and Symbii home health for their comfort and support.
