Dan Morrison

Milo Dan Morrison passed away on November 17th 2022 in Pocatello, Idaho at the age of 84.

Dan Morrison was born to Leland “Boge” and Jennie Morrison on June 17, 1938, near Downey, Idaho. He enjoyed his youth growing up on the family farm with seven siblings, Paul, Lynn, Joe, Drew, Phillip, Lola, and Clayton.

He graduated from the Marsh Valley in 1956 in the first class to graduate from the new school district. He went on to play football at Snow College for two years, then transferred to Idaho State for another year of football.

Dan married Barbara Eliason on Jan 18 1961 in the Logan Temple. They were blessed with three children, Dave (Tina), Kent, and Eric (Brook).

They lived in Pocatello for many years where Dan worked on various highway construction project, trucking for Garrett Freight Lines, and then Cowboy Oil, and eventually was given an opportunity to buy and run a small farm in Inkom.

Dan was an avid outdoorsman his whole life and was glad to get back to farming later in life. That is where Dan and Barbara enjoyed their latter days of life. Dan’s declining health led to him enter a nursing home for the last five years of his life, and it was here where he passed away on November 17th.

Dan is survived by his brother Lynn Morrison, two children Dave (Tina) and Eric (Brook), seven grandchildren, Kyler (Kierra) Morrison, Arden (Jessika) Morrison, India Morrison, Ashlei Lewis, Sadie (Trevor) Stuart, Clarissa (Brandon) Neilson, Jesse Lewis, and one great-grandson, Eric Brantley West.

He was preceded in death by Barbara in 2021, his son Kent in 1993, and six of his siblings throughout the years.

Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 801 N Rapid Creek Road in Inkom with a viewing at 10 a.m., funeral service at 11 a.m., and interment in the Inkom Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
