Ann Marie Cottrell, age 76, was residing in Pocatello, Idaho when she passed away suddenly of accidental causes on September 26, 2023.
In lieu of a service, her immediate family participated in a small Greek Orthodox prayer at Cornelison Funeral Home.
Ann was born in Oak Park, Illinois to Gus and Sophia Catomerisios on June 25, 1947. She attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School, where she met her husband of 58 years, Mark Cottrell. They married on June 27, 1965 and had two children, Tania (Rodney) Bodart and Aaron (Crystal) Cottrell. She lived most of her life in Palmdale, California where her and Mark raised their family. Ann's most cherished role was Nana to her three grandchildren Alexandria Bates, Hannah (Levi) Llarena, Dylan Cottrell (9) and two great-grandchildren Aaden Murachanian (8) and Hazel Llarena (4). She also leaves behind her brother Frank Catomerisios, his son Nicolas and his family. As well as, her beloved cousins and their families in Greece, Nevada and the Midwest. She will be missed by countless extended family members and lifelong friends. Ann was preceded in death by her parents Gus and Sophia Catomerisios, her sister Frances Catomerisios and her son-in-law Richard Bates.
Ann was selfless and compassionate; she woke up every day thinking of others first. She was the superglue that held and kept everyone together. When not spending time with her family, she enjoyed cooking, crocheting, playing video poker and cuddling with her pets. Ann was endless love, a gift from above... That's what Nana's are made of. Fly high our sweet bird.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.cornelisonfh.com
