Richard Young

Richard (Dick) Young 79 of Pocatello Idaho passed away on November 27, 2018 at a local medical center surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 15, 1939 in Rock Springs Wyoming and attended schools in Reliance Wyoming. Right out of High School he joined the Us Navy and served from 1956 to 1960. He was self- employed most of his life and operated many businesses including Tire Express, a Trucking Company, and Dicks U Select Hearing Aids Service, and for a period of time was involved in Melaleuca.
At the time of death he was employed by Northwest Pipeline as a Pipeline Inspector. Dick enjoyed traveling all over the country, snowmobiling in Island Park. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and flying planes. As a young man he liked tinkering on cars and trucks and knew a lot about them.
He is survived by his wife Lora Young and two sons and one daughter: Rod (Amy) Young, Boise Idaho; David (Kristine) Young, Pocatello Idaho; and Lori Young, Salt Lake City Utah. Nine Grandchildren: Trent Young, Boise Idaho; Nicholas Young, Salt Lake City Utah; Cody Young, Boise Idaho; Courtney Young, Ashland Oregon; Heather Young, Logan Utah; Parker Young, Pocatello Idaho; Titan Cleveland, Boise Idaho; Mathias and Sophie Young, Boise Idaho; and one great grandchild: Zaiden LeFevre, Logan Utah.
Memorial Service and Military Rites will be held Sunday December 16, 2018 at 1pm at Cornelison Funeral Home 431 N 15th Ave. Family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Burial will held at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.cornelisonfh.com
