Mary Scott Obituary

After one brief visit when I was twenty-one, I have made a long awaited return trip to my Home in the Heavens, to be with my Father. The longing I have felt for most of my life for my Home has finally been fulfilled, I take with me my memories of all my family and friends that I will hold dearly for eternity.
I want to thank my wonderful sons for making this journey on Earth worthwhile, because most of all it was my sons who helped me to see the Light and understand God’s unwavering Love for All His Children.
I was born March 17, 1954 to Edwin Ross Burgon and Rose Alene Stringham Burgon, in Murray, Utah, the fifth of six children. My parents divorced and my mother married Alfred R. Chandonia, he brought to this union his two sons from a previous marriage, making a total of eight children. Eventually we bonded into a family.
I am preceded in death by my father, mother, and stepfather, my brothers; Lee J. Burgon, Jeffery L Chandonia, Mark B. Chandonia and sisters; Rose Alene Burgon Call, and Margret A. Burgon Klemp.
I am survived by my husband Thomas J. Scott, sons; Jason R. Allen (Susan) Arlington, WA., Erick E. Allen (Sara) Sandy, UT., Brian R. Allen Midvale, UT., and Daniel Jed Burgon (Katheryn) Orem, UT., my brother David L. Burgon (Cathy), my sister Elizabeth A. Burgon (Clinton Sheppard), sisters in-law; DeAnn Burgon, Betsy Chandonia and Kim Chandonia, my brother-in-law Michael Call, my six grandchildren; Jacob, Aurora, Jillian, Avery, Isabelle and Briant; one great-grandson James Allen, and many, many, nieces and nephews.
It is my wish to be cremated and my ashes to be disposed of in the way my sons feel is most fitting, as long as all my ashes are disposed of in the same place. I do not want an urn; a shoe box will be just fine. In lieu of flowers and a stuffy funeral, I would like you all to go camping, build a big fire and roast hot dogs and marshmallows. I will always love and watch over you all, God Bless.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.cornelisonfh.com
