Letha June Bayly Loveland, 94, passed away February 27, 2018 surrounded by family. She was born August 15, 1923 in Pocatello, Idaho, the first child of Maitland and Edna Bright Bayly. She graduated from Pocatello High School which she attended with her future husband, Oren Joel (Bud) Loveland.
Letha and Bud were married June 29, 1942 in the Salt Lake City Temple. During the early years of their marriage they lived in several places throughout the United States as Bud served in the navy during World War II, however, Pocatello was their life long home.
Letha was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and faithfully served in many capacities throughout her life. One of her favorite calls was as an ordinance worker in the Idaho Falls Temple where she and her husband served for eight years.
She worked at Idaho Bank & Trust for 25 years retiring as an operations officer of the bank. On one occasion she was instrumental in catching an international counterfeiting ring.
Preceding Letha in death were her husband, father, mother, sister Beulah Condie and brother-in-law Grant Brower. She is survived by her sister Doris Brower, brother Doug (JoAnn) Bayly, brother-in-law Robert Condie, daughters Kathy (Jim) Stoddard, Vicky (Vernon) Humphries, sons Gordon (Julia) Loveland, Kim (Carmen) Loveland, daughter Janna Loveland, 20 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the LDS Chapel at 954 East Walnut, Pocatello. Family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday at Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., and one hour prior to services Saturday in the church. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery.
