Gary Clyde Richardson

Gary Clyde Richardson, age 86, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on May 21st, 2017. He is survived by his wife Corlene Richardson the love of his life for 63 plus years. He is also survived by his 4 sons: Gary (Karen), D.C. (Norene), Frosty (Lisa), and Dusty Richardson, and his only daughter Karrie (Kent) Jenkins. Sisters, Sally (Bud) Manwill, Vicky (Mike) Reynolds, Cindy (Garth) Greenwell & Brother Forrest (Frost) Richardson.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Clyde & Sue Richardson, he is also greeted by his brother George, infant sister Elizabeth, daughter in law Marietta Richardson, grandsons David Craig, Kenneth Wigg and infant great great granddaughter Athena Rose Wyke.
Gary Clyde Richardson was born on April 11, 1931 in Pocatello making it his home for his entire life attending school, working for the Union Pacific railroad for 42 years including his service in the army during the Korean Conflict 1951-1953 in an anti-aircraft battery and raising his family. After his retirement in 1990 he and Corlene spent a great deal of their time at their home in Oakley, Idaho where his kids and grandkids spent many happy days. He loved the outdoors, camping & fishing at Chesterfield, Reservoir with his family were some of his favorite times. He leaves lasting memories for his grandchildren Ryan, Travis, Mark, Mike, Frosty and Dustin Richardson, Chanda and Chris Jenkins and Lisa Wigg. He will be loved and missed by his family, friends, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff, nurses and doctors of Portneuf Medical Center, Montevista Health Care, and Encompass health and hospice for their care of Gary and his family during their difficult time.
The family would also like to give a special heartfelt thank you to D.C. and Karrie whose extra care and concern helped so much these past months we all love and appreciate you both so much.
Funeral services will held Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 11 am in the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello. Family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday evening and one hour prior to services Tuesday in the Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Basin Cemetery, Oakley, Idaho.
