Dora Phyllis Anglesey Obituary

Dora Phyllis Lewis Raymond Anglesey, 93, was born December 19, 1924 in Pocatello, Idaho to Harmon Francilla Raymond and Ella Maude “Dolly” Lewis. She was the 6th of 10 children. She was educated in Pocatello and attended Pocatello High School until her sophomore year. In September 1943 her father passed away so she dropped out of school to help her mother attend to the family needs.
She married James Gerald Anglesey on July 24, 1966 in Pocatello. This marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-
Day Saints on October 26, 1996. She was a member of the Alameda 2nd Ward.
Jim and Phyllis had only one child, James Todd Anglesey, who was still-born on November 16, 1969.
Phyllis enjoyed visiting, especially in her later years. Jim and Phyllis were involved in square dancing and bowling. Their bowling league took 1st place in 1981. Phyllis was very proud of the achievement of bowling a 200 point game.
Phyllis is survived by her brother, Paul Lewis Raymond of Idaho Falls, David Dee (Mary Karen) Anglesey, brother-in-law of American Falls and Marva (Darrell) Murdoch sister-in-law of Ashton. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Otho, Filo, Russell and Wendell Raymond; sisters, Afton Raymond, Joyce Carpenter, Constance McCarty, and Valarie Marks. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Many thanks go out to Ashley Manor Assisted Living Facility and Access Hospice Care who provided care to Phyllis over the past year.
