Anthony Harper (Tony), 76 returned to his Heavenly Father on November 7, 2018, in Pocatello, ID.
Anthony grew up in Salt Lake City and attended South High School. He met his sweetheart Sylvia Joan Muir Harper in Palo Alto, California and they were sealed in the Oakland Temple. He received his Bachelors at the University of Utah and went on to earn an MBA at the University of San Francisco. He used his CPA to work as a corporate controller for several billion-dollar companies. He served in the Utah National Guard and was called to active duty during the Cuban Missile crisis.
Anthony had a generous heart and loved serving In the Church. He served as counselors in five bishoprics and two stake presidencies.
Work took the family to the east coast and they had each of their four children born in a city the family lived in. Well except for in 2011 when he retired to Pocatello, ID at the age of 69.
Anthony is the son of Jesus Sanchez Vega, Rosalie Sullivan and the beloved stepson of Fred Harper.
Anthony is survived by his wife Sylvia Joan Muir Harper, his children Burke Anthony Harper, Robin Marie Chandler, Clinton Beck Harper, Anna Katrina Crane, a granddaughter and his brother Ralph Harper along with nieces and nephews and other members of the extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his elder brother Jesus Vega.
A memorial service will be held at 1440 Lake View Drive in Pocatello, ID on Thursday, November 15, 2018, at 5:30 pm, followed by a graveside service at the Salt Lake City Cemetery on Friday the 16th at noon.
