After 95 years, our Dad finally decided to head out to his great reward. Two wives, Gertrude and Madge were waiting for him so this writer is wondering if that was why he was a bit hesitant to go. Regardless, he is sorting it all out now for better or worse!
Dad was born March 22, 1922, and passed April 17th, 2024.
His mother, Grace Kelley, passed shortly after giving birth to little Stanley, so he was raised by his aging grandparents. I have a feeling that little Stanley was quite a handful and that his grandparents have earned a place in the highest kingdom of celestial glory.
Stanley grew up tormenting his grade school teachers and stealing water melons, but he was a handsome fella and caught the eye of the younger and beautiful Gertrude Dewey. He turned on the Stanley charm and they were married October 5, 1952.
Six beautiful and mischievous children were born of this union, Curtis, (the most mischievous) Loretta, (the most beautiful) Susan (most sweetest),
Bill ( most rebellious) Scott, ( most talented) and of course the baby Alan, (tallest and best looking).
This lovely family roamed about Idaho tending fruit orchards until 1971, when we landed in Blackfoot, Idaho.
There Dad combined his love of airplanes with the need to feed this ravenous family and started and a crop dusting business. But, what with his partner embezzling all the money and all his crop duster friends crashing and dying, he settled for a safer business of pest control.
Lovely Gertrude passed away March 7th, 1999 of breast cancer, so Stanley was a lone man in his apple garden of Eden. He set out to find a new bride and met the hard working Madge Marie Willie. They were married on Mar 28,2001. They were a great team until her death on Mar 7, 2023.
He mourned his two lovely ladies until the day he finally decided to join them.
Dad lived life to the fullest, farming, flying, four-wheeling, bishoping, and playing the harmonica for the seniors.
We will miss you Dad!
