Wilva Jeanetta Medrud

Wilva Jeanetta Medrud, 70, Pocatello, passed away late Wednesday night, May 31, 2017 at Portneuf Medical Center resulting from medical problems following surgery. She was born on September 30th, 1946, in Pocatello, Idaho, a daughter of Ernest and Wilva Martsching. She attended school in Pocatello, and graduated from Pocatello High School.
Jeanetta was a member of the Snake River Retriever's club, training and running her own dogs. She also enjoyed camping and site-seeing in the local mountains, finding pleasure in photographing the many scenic areas.
Jeanetta married Jerry Medrud in Elko, Nevada, on November 5, 1969. They lived in Bannock County and remained married until her death. She was preceded in death by her mother, twin sister (Wilba), and younger sister (Aliene). She is survived by her husband (Jerry) and sister (Helen).
Funeral services are to be held at 11:00 am on June 6, 2017 at Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello, and will be preceded by viewing at 10:00 am. Services will be officiated by Pastor Jeff Fadness of Pocatello Calvary Chapel, followed by interment at Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be sent online at www.cornelisonfh.com
