William 'Bill' Wilson

November 27, 2014

Dr. William Reed (Bill) Wilson, age 82, passed away, surrounded by his loved ones, on November 27, 2014. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and lover of a good bowl of popcorn. Bill was born the 7th of 10 children in Pocatello, Idaho, January 24, 1932.
Following his graduation from Pocatello High School, he served in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict and later attended dental school in St. Louis. He met his wife, Carole Green from Blackfoot, on a blind date and they were married in the Idaho Falls Temple. Dr. Wilson opened his dental practice in Pocatello where he practiced for 43 years. Bill and Carole raised their five children in Pocatello, and Bill played an active role in the community through his service in the LDS church and on the local school board.  Bill loved his family and was very involved with his children and their activities.
Following the passing of his wife Carole, Bill later married Shirlene Magleby, from Rexburg, in the Bountiful Temple. Together they served a mission for the LDS church at Temple Square in Salt Lake City and then returned to Pocatello to enjoy their retirement and serve as ordinance workers in the Idaho Falls Temple.
Bill enjoyed snow and water skiing, gardening, traveling, and learning WWII history. Annual family reunions in McCall, Idaho were always a highlight for him.
