Virginia A. (North) Head

Virginia Ann (North) Head was born August 25, 1925, the daughter of Andrew and Anna Hansman Ahrenkiel.  She passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Gateway Transitional Care Center in Pocatello, Idaho at the age of eighty-nine.
Virginia was born on a farm near Vail, Iowa.  She received her education in the rural Jackson Township Schools and Vail High School graduating with the class of 1942. Virginia was united in marriage to Allen T. North at the Presbyterian Church in Vail, Iowa on June 4, 1944. The couple made their home in Vail, Iowa and their union was blessed with the birth of two children.
On July 8, 1976 Virginia was united in marriage to Charles R. Head at the First Presbyterian Church in Pocatello, Idaho.  The couple made their home in Pocatello.
In addition to being a homemaker, over the years, Virginia worked in various bookkeeping and office capacities.   In her later years, she was active in the women's groups associated with the First Presbyterian Church in Pocatello, Idaho.  She was a loving mother and grandmother. 
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one sister, Arlene.  Survivors include: her children, Sharon K. Magnotta and her husband, Robert of Randolph, New Jersey; Allen L. North and his wife Fay, of Saginaw, Texas; one grandson, Robert Magnotta and his wife, Linda of Randolph, New Jersey; and two great-grandchildren, Kimberly and Robert.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello, with Pastor Steve Knudson of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home Thursday.  Inurnment will be at the Westside, Iowa Cemetery, Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11:00 am, where a graveside prayer service will be conducted by Rev. Richard Francis of the First Presbyterian Church of Vail, Iowa. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.cornelisonfh.com.
