Shirley Haak

    Shirley Jean Haak 73 passed away Sunday January 25 surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 4 1941 to Wilburn Carlyle Roberts and Eva Lapree Roberts. She was raised in Burley Idaho and graduated from Burley Sr. High School.
    She met her true love Howard William Haak dragging main in Burley Idaho. They were married March 10 1961.  Together they raised one daughter Kristine Leigh whom they loved dearly.    
    Shirley retired from U.S. Bank after many years of service. She has enjoyed the continued friendships of working there and still after many years enjoyed the Thursday girl’s night with them. She enjoyed reading, working outside, and recently found a new passion in sewing. She was very active in her grandchildren’s lives and hardly missed an event or activity they were in. She enjoyed traveling with her family and took many vacations with them.    
    She is survived by her daughter Kristine and Son in law David Young. Three grandchildren Cody, Courtney and Parker Young. One brother Joseph (Betty) Roberts and two sisters Joann (Russel) Ingram and Linda (Scott) Nielsen.
    Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn and Eva Roberts, her husband, Howard Haak and a sister, Susan Brown.
    Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 30, 2015 at 2 pm in the Cornelison Funeral Chapel, 431 N 15th Ave. Pocatello, where family will receive friends one hour prior to service.  Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery, Pocatello.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello, 232-0542.  Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.cornelisonfh.com.
