Shirley Isabell Brady, 92, Pocatello was born in Arimo, ID to Leland and Hortense Farr Evans. She had 3 brothers and 3 sisters: Leland, Jr. (deceased), Janice (deceased), John, Renee, Jerry, and Marcia (deceased). Shirley married Len R. Brady (deceased) on August 7, 1942 in the Salt Lake City Temple. They had 5 Children: Carol Scott (Carl), Jeanette Seeley (Rod), Bill Brady (Lynn), Marilyn Darrington (Karl), and Ben Brady (Karen - deceased).
Shirley was an adventurous woman who loved to read, sew, crochet, cook, paint, sing, play the organ, play cards, and spend as much time as possible with her children, 22 grandchildren, and 42 great grandchildren. Throughout her life Shirley was devoted to the LDS church, she and her husband served a mission in Indianapolis, Indiana and served in the Idaho Falls Temple. She also volunteered many hours sewing for the hospital. Shirley was gifted with a sweet spirit and warm demeanor. Everyone she met was a friend and she made them feel important. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all those lucky enough to have spent time with her.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 12, at 11 am in the LDS Cedar Hills Chapel, 5425 Bannock Highway, Pocatello. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday evening in the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello, and from 10-10:45 am in the church prior to services.
