Shirlee Gilbert Kirkpatrick

Shirlee (Lish, Gilbert) Kirkpatrick of Chubbuck, Idaho, passed away after a courageous battle from an extended illness on May 25, 2015, at Portneuf Medical Center.
Shirlee was the oldest child of 13 children born to Don C. and Mable Lish in Pocatello, Idaho. She spent her childhood in Onyx, Idaho, and graduated from McCammon High School in 1948.
Shirlee married Nuel C. Gilbert on July 24, 1950 in Elko Nevada. Four children were born to this union, Nuelene (Dale) Wistisen, Don (Linda) Gilbert, Carl (Becky) Gilbert, and Sherri (Jayson) Falk.
After the death of her first husband in October of 1993 she married Gene Kirkpatrick on February 12, 1999 in Pocatello, Idaho. Gene passed away in May of 2004.
Shirlee loved to sew, and became an excellent seamstress, making western shirts for her husband and sons, formals for her daughters. Her cooking was loved by all who had the opportunity to share a meal with her.
Besides her children, she is survived by 23 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
Shirlee is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 1 grandson, 1 great grandson, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Interment will be in the Bancroft Cemetery.
