Our loving condolences to Mrs. Head. We loved Ray and his wife. We bought our first home next door to them when we were just married in 1979 and lived next to them for the next six years. They were the best neighbors. Our daughter, Christa, absolutely loved him. She would go out to see him in the backyard and they would talk and talk across the fence. She was born while we lived there until she was three. Every once in awhile he would give her a quarter and tell her to go have ice cream. She wouldn't give up until we took her cuz Mr. Head said so. He helped Ron with our garden and always gave such good advice. Those are tender moments at the beginning of our lives and they were so much better because of both of them. One of my favorite memories was Ron and I were working on our garden out by the front fence and the daylight hours were ticking by and we found ourselves still planting flowers after sundown. He came walking up and asked us if we had to plant at night because we had to sneak up on them. He was so funny and so kind. We will always think of him with such kindness.

From the John Pincock Family to yours. Ray was a great friend to dad through their many years together at the I.S.U. Diesel Department. The rest of us also greatly enjoyed the times that we spent together as families.

I would like to share my condolences with the family. Ray was a good friend that I worked with for many years at ISU. He was always concerned about the students and would go out of his to make sure they had the best education possible. He will be missed. You as a family can be extremly proud of his accomplishments.
