Nancy Jane Morrison

September 12, 1957 ~ September 2, 2017 (age 59) 59 Years Old
Nancy Jane Ohman Varela Morrison, 59,
A Fashionista, Chef, nurturer, and dreamer left this life on September 2nd, 2017. Nancy was born on September 12th, 1957 in Anaconda, Montana as the daughter to Myrtle and Raymond Ohman. She was the youngest of nine adventurous children all raised in Rigby Idaho. School was always something that came as an inviting challenge, and she was very devoted in her studies and graduated early at Rigby High. She graduated from Idaho State University in 1977 with her Bachelors in Business Administration where she met her first love. Nancy married Steve Varela Jr. on July 15th, 1978, in Pocatello. They raised 3 children, Justin, Chad, and Stevie. Nancy was so proud of the household she helped build, and was a natural gardener who loved the outdoors. When she wasn’t outside enjoying the sunlight and lemon tea, Nancy was very devoted to her job at the State of Idaho. She was a proud Lead Trainer in the department of health and welfare, and she truly enjoyed giving hope to those families in need. Although their marriage didn’t last, a deep friendship and bond with the kids was always Nancy’s priority.
Then Nancy found her second love In Stan Morrison and his kids Mackey and Brooke. She held onto all of the kids as a large close family, and she couldn’t have been more content at the thrill of having them all together. After a long and flourishing relationship, they were married under a bright sun on June 5th, 2003, at her sister Sandy’s house. Their years together included many barbecues with friends and endless days in the backyard pool. Nancy always considered strangers as family and would give what she could help. She is survived by her sisters Sandy, Merna, Dolly, Sis and her brother Richard. Her kids include Justin, Chad, Mackey Stevie, and Brooke.
Nancy would like you to know her work here is done. She received a call from which she will not be returning. The offer came with a long anticipated reunion with family and friends; all of whom adored her. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where music, laughter, and love is a guarantee.
A celebration of her wonderful adventure will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday September 16th, at Grace Lutheran Church. Following the service will be a burial at Mountain View Cemetery and a luncheon back at the Church. Flowers and donations are welcome at the service. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.cornelisonfh.com
