Welcome to the memorial page for

Lynda Kae Hansen

March 20, 1941 ~ February 18, 2015 (age 73) 73 Years Old

Lynda Kae Hansen died in her home on February 18, 2015, in Chandler, Arizona. She was 73.

Lynda Kae was born on March 20, 1941 in Pocatello, Idaho, to her parents Olga Helene Carlsen and Edmond Elvoid Hansen. She was the fourth of five children. Lynda Kae enjoyed her childhood in Pocatello with her siblings, relatives, and friends. While attending Pocatello High School she would dress in costume as the school's Indian mascot. While living with her father and his wife "Billy" Lillian Tomlinson for a year, she attended Stevens Heneger Business College and earned a certificate in secretarial skills. She lived in Pocatello with her mother for many years. In 1998, when her mother's health was declining, they moved to Gilbert, Arizona, to be closer to her sister Karolea Dayley.

Lynda Kae enjoyed music, scrapbooking, spending time with family, and anything to do with the Church. She loved the Savior and expressed a sincere and sure testimony of the Lord and His gospel. She encouraged many with her words, and also by her example of faithfully enduring to the end. She was known to have a sharp memory, as she had memorized the birthdates of all her nieces and nephews, their spouses, and even some great-nieces and great-nephews. She was also known as a kind and sweet woman who was always ready to share a hug and "I love you."  Many who loved her will forever remember her happy, broad smile.

Lynda Kae is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Devon and Marnell Hansen of Camarillo, California; her sister Karolea Dayley of Gilbert, Arizona; her brother and sister-in-law Duane and Mary Hansen of South Jordan, Utah; and many nephews and nieces, and great-nephews and great-nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents Olga Carlsen and Edmond Hansen; her brother E. Eldeen Hansen; and her brother-in-law Don Dayley.

The family expresses gratitude to the staff at Brookdale Senior Living where Lynda resided for over 10 years. She enjoyed many activities, friendships, and kindnesses while living there. The family also wishes to thank Premier Hospice for their services, guidance, and gentle help for Lynda and her loved ones during the final weeks of her life.
