LaJuan Binggeli was born in Blackfoot Idaho May 5 1941, and passed away June 26, 2017 in Pocatello, Idaho following a struggle with cancer. LaJuan was the first of two children born to Darrell L. and Maxine L. Plesner Taylor. She was quick to zealously identify Jay Clarke Smith as her father. She met and later married Blaine Binggeli on October 18 1957.
She worked for the Bannock Hotel, Holiday Inn, Pauline’s Sandwich Shop and Ore-Ida Foods all in Pocatello.
She enjoyed cooking, home decoration/ landscaping, horses, was a member of the Silver Sage Riders, racing and Idaho State Championship Chariot Racing, camping, reading and crafts of all kinds. She was an avid bowler and cherished friendships made bowling in Pocatello’s leagues and treasured those of the senior’s leagues.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents. She is survived by her husband Blaine Binggeli of nearly 60 years Pocatello, Idaho, Her sister Kathy (Joe) Thometz of Boise Idaho, Three Sons David (Debby) of Amelia, Ohio. Kerry (Stephanie) of Ogden, Utah. Jeffrey of Idaho Falls, Idaho. And Daughter Karlene Priest of Pocatello, Idaho. Also surviving her are 4 Grandsons, 7 Granddaughters, 18 Great Grandchildren, and in February a Great-Great Granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 30, 2017 at 2 pm in the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello, where family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday and one hour prior to services Friday.
