Herbert C. Gibson, 80, Pocatello, passed away, September 14, 2017 at a local medical center.
Herb was born May 21 1937 in Vancouver Washington to Grant and Viola Gibson.
Herb grew up in Grace Idaho on the family farm. He graduated from Grace High School.
After high school, he went to college where he graduated from University of Idaho with a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science. He worked for the Food and Drug Administration in Seattle Washington for a while until his love for farming called him back to Grace Idaho. He farmed for many years before moving to Pocatello where he drove school bus and worked for the Forest Service. He took a job as a long-haul truck driver for CR England where he quickly became a driver trainer which he did for 18 years before retiring.
He also served as a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army which he was very proud of and had a deep love of his country.
His hobbies were restoring Austin Healey cars, watching baseball, reading his paperback books, of which he has several hundred and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Saralyn Gibson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 20, at 2 pm in the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello, where family will receive friends one hour prior. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery, Pocatello. Full obituary and condolences available at www.cornelisonfh.com
