Welcome to the memorial page for

Glenda B. McCall

October 2, 1939 ~ May 19, 2015 (age 75) 75 Years Old

Glenda McCall, age 75, passed away on May 19th, 2015.  Glenda was born to Glenn and Alice Scheele in Los Angeles, California on October 2, 1939 where she lived until moving to Pocatello in the early summer of 1948.  She graduated from Pocatello High School in 1958 and married her longtime love Bob McCall on November 10th that same year.  They began their lives together in San Diego, CA as a young married couple, where she enjoyed the adventure of being a Navy wife. After Bob’s deployment, they moved back to Pocatello where they raised their three children.
Glenda began working for Idaho Bank & Trust while in highschool, then returned to work for Key Bank in the operations center, retiring in 1991.  After retirement, she and Bob enjoyed traveling the country in their RV, especially California and the Oregon coast.  They visited family and friends and spent a great deal of time together.  Glenda was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church, and was instrumental in the early days of the new church building and school. She was an avid reader of mysteries, crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren.  While work, home, and church were important to Glenda, it was her family that always came first.  She was a wonderful example to us all of what it means to be a supportive, loving, vibrant woman and mother.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents Glenn and Alice Scheele.  She is survived by her husband Robert McCall, Pocatello, brother Dr. Raymond Scheele, Chicago, IL (Marci), her children Denise McCall, Pocatello, Debra Segen, Austin, TX, Pamela Burns (Joel), Boise, ID, and three grandchildren Alyssa Segen, Bobby Burns, and Sierra Burns. We will all dearly miss your loving presence in our lives.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 215 North 18th, Pocatello, where the family will receive friends from 12 Noon until time of service.  Interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.  The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that memorials be given to the Grace Lutheran Church.   Arrangements are under the direction of the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello, 232-0542.  Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.cornelisonfh.com.
