Elaine Goodenough-Meccico-Hull, 88, passed away at home, early February 22, 2017, from complications of C.O.P.D. surrounded by her family members.
She was born February 6, 1929 in Lava Hot Springs to Annie Mae Hunter Goodenough and William Goodenough.
Elaine attended schools in both McCammon and Pocatello. Her hobbies and interests included arts and crafts, horseback riding and gardening.
Elaine married William R. Meccico on May 6, 1946 and lived most of her life in Soda Springs. Together they had 5 children: Sandi (Jake) Jacaway of Pocatello, Carolie (George) Kimball of Soda Springs, Lance (Kim) Meccico of Soda Springs, twin daughters, Sheryl (Derek) Bannister of Lake Havasu City, AZ and infant Sheila Meccico (deceased).
They were later divorced and she moved to Idaho Falls where she worked at Lincoln Court Retirement Center for 11 years.
In 1999 she married her longtime friend, Stanley (Doc) Hull DVM. He became the love of her life. After only 2 short years of marriage, Doc passed away unexpectedly.
Elaine then moved to the Pocatello area where she enjoyed being a volunteer at the Pocatello Senior Citizen Center until she was forced to quit volunteering due to wet macular degeneration impairing her vision.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 11 siblings, infant daughter, Sheila and numerous other relatives.
