Cynthia "Cindy" W. Olsen

Cynthia "Cindy" W. Olsen, 62, Pocatello, passed away, May 3, 2016 at a local medical center surrounded by family. She was born in Downey, Idaho on March 11, 1954 to Floyd L. Wilding and Muriel N. Wilding. She graduated from Marsh Valley High School, where she was very active in 4-H showing beef cattle and traveling to many places. Cindy was also involved in high school drill team. After high school she attended LDS Business College and later attended Brymans Medical Assisting School. Soon after she was blessed with a son, Jason. She was employed at Bannock Paving for 21 years where she met her partner for life, Johnny Olsen and they married on June 7, 1980. Their marriage was blessed with two daughters, Tara Jo and Jonell Rose. She was extremely active with her 3 children in 4-H Rodeo and sports. She loved doing beet harvest and all the friendships that came with it. In her retirement years she enjoyed camp hosting in Heise Hot Springs and trail riding through the Ririe wilderness with Johnny on their razor. She will truly be missed by all who came to know her. She is preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Willis Ward; brothers, Robert and Dean Wilding; sister, Moonie Coffey; and many nieces and nephews. She is survived by her husband, Johnny of Pocatello; son, Jason Keller of Pocatello; daughter-in-law, Kandie Bergquist of Preston, Idaho; daughters, Tara Jo Longstaff (TJ Longstaff) of Pocatello, Jonell Rose Olsen (Luis Vasquez) of Pocatello; sister, Brenda Amen (Jerry Snyder) of Emmett, Idaho; sister-in-law, Louise Wilding of Downey, Idaho; and grandchildren, Miguel Longstaff, Jordan Keller, Elliot Parsons, Baylee Longstaff, Jonathan Longstaff, Javier Vasquez, Pheonix Longstaff, Chantel Vasquez, Nevya Longstaff, Jayden Vasquez, and Saydee Vasquez; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 12 noon in the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello, 232-0542, where visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8pm and one hour prior to services Thursday.
