Barbara Hale Harris, 85, Pocatello, passed away, Saturday, February 14, 2015.
Died February 14, 2015 at her home in Pocatello, ID.  She was born April 19, 1929 in Preston, ID.  She was the 2nd of 4 children born to Eva Jensen Hale and Nathan R. Hale.  Bobbie grew up at the Utah Power and Light Plant in Grace, ID.  She attended schools locally and after graduation from Grace High School she attended Utah State University for one year where she became a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority.  The following year she transferred to University of Idaho.  It was there she met her husband Bud.  They were married September 10, 1949.  They had three children Tom, Geri and Tim.  After her last child went to school she continued her education at Idaho State University receiving her master’s degrees.  She taught school at Green Acres Elementary in Pocatello from 1967 to 1991.  During this time she was teacher of the year, listed in Leaders of American Elementary Education.  She was honored by being selected by her toughest critics, former student, to be listed in the second edition of Who’s Who Among American Teachers. She was a member of Kappa Delta PI, PEO, and a volunteer with Guild at Pocatello Medical Center.  She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.   She enjoyed playing in Bridge Club, traveling, yard work, golfing and spending time with her family.  They had many holiday and family gatherings; she especially loved the great family reunions they shared together.
She is survived by her children; Tom (JJ) Harris of Miami, FL; Geri Betts of Pocatello ID; and Tim (Peggy) Harris of Burley ID; one sister  Elaine (Ralph) Tucker of St. George, UT; one brother Nathan (Sydney)Hale of Preston, ID; 11 Grandchildren and 16 Great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister (Raedene) and one Grandson (Derek Harris).
The family would like to give many thanks to Encompass Home Health and Hospice who lovingly cared for her in her final days, especially Dr. Nielsen, Susan, Brandie, Nicole, Rod, Karen & Gayle.
In lieu of flowers if you wish the family has asked you make donations to Alzheimer’s Association the Utah Chapter at alz.org.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 20, 2015 at 11:00 am in the LDS Princeton Ward, 42 Princeton Ave., Pocatello.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday evening in the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello, and from 10:00 - 10:45 am Friday at the church.  Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery, Preston, Idaho.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello, 232-0542.  Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.cornelisonfh.com.
