Welcome to the memorial page for

Audrey Tubbs Moser

May 18, 1926 ~ September 24, 2016 (age 90) 90 Years Old
Audrey Tubbs Moser 90, passed away Saturday September 24, 2016 in Pocatello Idaho at Brookdale Assisted Living Pocatello with her daughter by her side. She had become ill a week prior with Aspiration Pneumonia and her tiny body could not fight any longer.
She was born May 18, 1926 to Abigail Idumia Ward and Joel Arvin Tubbs, in Holbrook Idaho at the family home. She was the 5th of six children, having two sisters and three brothers.
She graduated from Malad High School, in Malad Idaho in 1944. She played the clarinet in the band and enjoyed performing. Mom excelled at roller-skating, there wasn’t much she couldn’t do on a pair of roller skates, even was an accomplished dancer on them. After graduation she went to work for the US Supply Depot in Ogden Utah.
On November 13, 1945, she married dad, Emil LaVar Moser, in Riverside California, where he was stationed with the Air Force. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple on August 16, 1955, with their two children, Allen Lynn, born 1947 and Shauna born in 1952, sealed to them.
They lived in Ogden for a while and then moved to Pocatello, where dad worked for Carl E Nelsen Construction and Blair Fry Motors, before he went to work for the Pocatello Fire Department and Nicholas Moving and Storage and Lee Hawkes Van Lines.
When dad became ill with Multiple Sclerosis in 1971 she was a wonderful caregiver to him, as his illness progressed, until he past away on April 12, 2005. She was a wonderful example of service to others. We witnessed many acts of kindness. Always busy sewing, quilting, canning, cooking, cleaning, baking and crocheting. Mom was an exemplary wife, mother and grandmother.
She served in many positions in the LDS Church twice as a Relief Society President, and also secretary, a teacher and a leader in most every organization. She loved the Lord and the greatest desire was for all of her family to serve and love him. Living there lives as he would have them live. Loving one another.
After retirement, mom and dad were able to spend a few years traveling, camping and fishing (which she loved) before dad’s health became to bad to enjoy those activities.
She loved to support her grandchildren, whenever possible, in whatever they were involved in.
In 2004 they moved into an apartment in their daughter and son in laws home, where she lived until April of this year when her health required that she move to Assisted Living.
Her husband LaVar, parents, two sisters, Shirley and Iola, and two brothers, Dan and Stuart preceded her in death. She is survived by her brother DaMaughn, son Allen and wife Carol Dawn (Preston ID) and daughter Shauna Quick and her husband Kim (Pocatello). Nine grandchildren Melanie (Darwin) Lott, Michelle (Nate) Clayton, Mark (Stacie) Moser, Marissa (By) Critchfield, Ryan (Shelese) Quick, Shane (Elizabeth) Quick, Lance Quick, Audra (Eric) Ladwig, Abby (Abel) Chaparro and 24 Great Grandchildren 3 Step Grandchildren and one Great Great Grandchild and one on the way.
