Arnetta Swensen Pincock

October 10, 1935 ~ April 23, 2017 (age 81) 81 Years Old

Arnetta Swensen Pincock once again stands by the side of her eternal companion. Her husband came to her in the early morning of Sunday, April 23 2017; while she slept peacefully in her bed at the home of her daughter Patti. He invited her to join him in their heavenly mansion that had been prepared for them.
Arnetta was born October 10, 1935 in St. Anthony, Idaho to Arnold and Luetta Orme Swensen. She was the fifth child of seven children. She graduated from South Fremont High School in 1953. She met the love of her life and married John Edmond Pincock on August 31, 1956 in the Idaho Falls Temple. They started out in Pocatello, Idaho. They were blessed with their first child, a daughter, Kendra Lynn. They moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho where they had a son, Drex Howard. They moved back to Pocatello where they lived the rest of their lives. They had three more children join the family, Ferron J, and the twins, Patti Dyan and Ryan S. Georgette Lynn Huwe, their foster daughter, also joined the family.
Arnetta belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she held many callings. She was Primary President, Relief Society President, counselors in both organizations, and many other callings. She always said, “I will do whatever the Lord asks me to do.” Arnetta and John served several missions. They served at Adam-ondi-ahman and in the Pocatello, Idaho Mission. She also enjoyed family history. She made a book for the Pincock/Winmill family and one for the Orme/Swensen family.
She worked for several department stores in their early married life one of them being Montgomery Ward. She had several homebased businesses with her friends. She drove school bus for 25 years for Pocatello School District.
She had many talents. She was an artist and painted everything from landscapes to still life. She played piano, sang with the Singing Mothers and other choirs. She made quilts and was a whiz at mending. She and John squared danced for years with the Choo-Choo Squares. She had a saying for everything. Arnetta was the life of the party. She loved her family including her nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Luetta, her parents-in-law, Howard and Lillie May Pincock, her husband, John, son, Ryan, and daughter, Kendra, Her brothers, Andrew (Betty), Howard (June), Ralph (Gladys and Jean), Leonard (Ruby), John’s siblings, Lona Mae (LaVar) Godfrey, Lela (Russell) Wilding, Mona (Milton) Wilding.
She is survived by sisters, Elvagene Ertzberger, Sammy (Henry) Sharum, sisters’-in-law Melba (Bill) Carter, Janet Gardner, her children, Drex Howard (Dalrene) Pincock, Ferron J (Micki) Pincock, Patti Dyan (Mike) Lee, and son-in-law, Mark Daniels (Kendra’s husband). Nineteen grandchildren and three step-grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren on the way. Also numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 29, at 11 am in the Alameda LDS 4th Ward Chapel, 1440 Lakeview Dr., Pocatello. Family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday in the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello, and from 10 - 10:45 am Saturday at the Church. Interment will be in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Pocatello. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.cornelisonfh.com
