A. Suzanne Chugg

July 16, 1942 ~ April 5, 2017 (age 74) 74 Years Old
A. Suzanne Chugg, 74, Pocatello, passed away, April 5, 2017 in her home.
Suzanne was born the oldest of 5 children to E.K. Duke and Altha Whitehead July 16, 1942 in Twin Falls Idaho.
Her siblings are Edith Jerilyn, Duke Wells, Steve E., and Tina Rene' Winifred. She grew up in Twin Falls, walked to school every day, even if she was offered a ride. She and her younger brother Duke started work at age 11. Her dad had them walk from school to an Electric Appliance store every night after school, cleaning the appliances. She and Duke also picked pie Cherries all summer. When she was 16 she went to work at the Grocery store/Bakery and worked as a checker through high school. She attended 1 year of college at BYU but then was told that she needed to find a job, because she couldn’t afford college. She moved to Pocatello and worked for a while at Troy Persing Laundry, and then got a temporary 2 week job at Farmers Insurance. She worked at Farmers Insurance for 41 ½ years. She worked her way up to a Staff Manager before she retired.
She met David during that time. She owned a 55 Ford Victoria that she loved. She met David at Stans Conoco station on south 5th, (now a bagel shop) He was so cute. David wanted to date her roommate, but she was engaged, so Suzanne pursued Dave by going to Stans for Gas. He finally asked her out. They were married Sept 25, 1965, and were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple. They had their first Daughter Megan Elizabeth on Nov 17, 1966. It was a time of the Vietnam War, and David was drafted. David had graduated from ISU in the Machinery Program. He was recruited by the Army to go to Washington DC to work. Suzanne kept working at Farmers while he was gone. When David returned to Pocatello they bought the service station and named it Dave's Conoco.
Aimee was born March 7, 1970. They rented a house on South 3rd, and after a few years they bought a house at on Cedar. In 1976 they purchased their home on Renee street.
She lived in this house, and it was important to her that she not leave this house because she never lived in a house for long. Her last wishes were to stay in the house until she died. She passed away in her home.
She is survived by her Sister Tina (Greg) Gerkman, Brother Duke Whitehead, Daughters Megan (Fred)Chilson, and Aimee Cutler.
Grandchildren include Gabe Chilson, Jayden Chilson, Selina Olsen, Seth Olsen, Joshua Olsen and Emma Olsen.
Great Grand Daughter is Quinleigh Ellis.
