A. David Crockett

A. David Crockett, 81, Pocatello, passed away, April 30, 2017.
Born January 14th 1936 in Rupert Idaho to Wanda Wilson Crockett, and A. David Crockett. In 1941 his family moved to California, where his father worked in a defense plant. When the war was over his family moved to Glenns Ferry, Idaho and started a dairy farm and his lifelong hatred for milk and cheese. At the age of 14 he and his family moved to Pocatello, where he graduated in 1954 from Pocatello High School. In 1954 he married the love of his life Virginia Jean Scott, they were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple August 22nd 1980 and were happily married 63 years. They have 5 daughters, Gwendolyn (Ted) Sluder, Marjorie (Kristen) Larsen, Anita ( Kelly) Willie, Julie (Raymond) Bruderer, and Valerie (Darren) Shuck. They have 20 grand kids and 22 great grand kids.
David fought a courageous battle with mesothelioma and lost it April 30th 2017.
He is survived by his adorable wife and 5 daughters, 3 brothers, Merlin (Shirley), Earl Lynn (Nadine), Gene (Julie) Crockett, 2 sisters
Nedra (Richard) Baldwin, Cheryl (Shane) Larson. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Gale Crockett.
The family would like to thank his caregivers who were all so wonderful to the very end. Thank You.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 6, at 1 pm in the Alameda LDS Stake Center, 930 E. Alameda St., Pocatello. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday in the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello, and from 12-12:45 pm prior to services at the church Saturday.
