Marie was always a happy and caring person. I enjoyed working with her while we were both in School District 25. My sympathy is with you all.

I loved working with Marie when we were both at the school district. She was always so friendly, funny and supportive. And it was great to see her at the Retired Educators lunches this past year. I will miss her very much. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. She was a great lady.

Such a kind and loving person was Marie. I enjoyed spending time with her in our antique club where she will be missed. My prayers are with her family.

My thoughts are with you during this difficult time. So many memories come to mind of the wonderful times at Christmas when we all got together to celebrate the holidays.

Marie was such a wonderful person. We all loved her. She was so fun to be around and so esay to talk with about family, education, and soccer. Marie always brighten my day when I got the opportunity to see her. She was so kind and generous. I loved sitting on the soccer field or at my parents and talking with her about her family. Marie was such a wonderful friend to my mom. My children loved to see her and Lenci enjoyed making Marie bookmarks.
She will be greatly missed. In deepest sympathy.

I have known Marie for about 15 years, both in her work with the Portneuf District Library Foundation, and in our PEO chapter. She was a wonderful, sweet friend, and we shall miss her very much!

Mrs Christofferson was my 5th grade teacher at Edahow Grade School. She was my favorite teacher. Everything we learned and experienced was through her exhuberance and love for life. I remember her reading to us "James and the Giant Peach". She brought it to life...such that I have never wanted to see the movie, because the pictures and the way she presented the story made its own motion picture in my mind. I did not want to ruin what great memories and pictures she painted for us in her reading and our discussions.
I remember asking her if she would teach 6th Grade so that I could have her one more year. She just gave me a hug and told me it was time to move on. She taught with all her heart and made sure that each one of us, her students, felt important and were learning what we needed to know to become not only better students, but better people. There is a book written, "What I learned in Kindergarten..," but where I learned the most was in Mrs Christofferson's 5th grade class. She was amazing! Thank you for sharing her with all of us challenging munchkins!
